Calibrating the Pump Flow Rate
Prime and purge the system pumps with water before starting the calibration
procedure. Calibrate the flow rate with water.
Note: Ensur
e that the column is offline before performing this task.
To calibrate the pump flow rate
1. Do one of the following:
On the ChromLab computer, select the System Control tab, click
Tools > Calibrate, and select Pump Flow Rate on the dropdown list.
On the NGC touch screen, select Calibrate on the ChromLab dropdown
menu and then select Pump Flow Rate on the dropdown list.
2. Follow the steps in the Pump Flow Rate Calibration dialog box.
3. Verify that Status (at the bottom of the dialog box) is Calibrated.
Calibrating Pressure Sensor Zero Point
Use this procedure to zero the pressure on the following modules:
Sample pump
System pump
Column switching valve
To zero the pressure
1. Ensure the modules are not plumbed and they are at ambient pressure.
2. Do one of the following:
On the ChromLab computer, select the System Control tab, click
Tools > Calibrate, and select the pump or valve on the dropdown list.
On the NGC touch screen, select Calibrate on the ChromLab dropdown
menu and then select the pump or valve on the dropdown list.
