A Upgrading ChromLab

Software and NGC Systems

This appendix explains how to upgrade ChromLab™ software and your NGC™

system from a previous version to the current version.

Caution: Before beginning the upgrade process, ensure that you have saved

all manual runs, and that no methods ar

e running.

Upgrading ChromLab Software

To upgrade ChromLab software to the current version

1. Insert the ChromLab Software CD into your CD-ROM drive. The ChromLab

installer automatically launches.

If the ChromLab installer does not automatically start:

a. In Windows Explorer, navigate to and open the ChromLab Software CD

drive.

b. Double-click ChromLab_Setup.exe to start the ChromLab installer.

2. The installer automatically detects that an earlier version of ChromLab is

installed and r

emoves it before installing the current version.

Note: Upgrading ChromLab and the database can take several minutes.

3. When the upgrade process is complete, click Finish to exit the wizard.
