Connecting the Drain Tube to the Buffer Tray
The top of the NGC system is molded to contain the buffer tray and route its drain
tube to the right or left side of the instrument. The drain tube connects to the buffer
tray through a connector on the back of the instrument top.
Note: The drain tube connector is barbed to keep the tube tightly in position.
After it is secur
ely attached to the connector, the tube will be very difficult to
remove. Plan your setup carefully before attaching the drain tube to the
connector.
To connect the drain tube to the buffer tray
1. Locate the instrument top and buffer tray.
2. Place the top upside down on the lab counter with the back side of the tray
facing towar
d you.
3. Determine the side of the instrument on which to place your waste container
and then locate the corr
esponding right or left drain tube hole in the top.
